Consultative Meeting on Criminal Justice Policy
Wednesday, November 10, 2022 - The Ministry of Justice in partnership with Initiatives for Peace and Human Rights conducted a consultative meeting on Criminal Justice Policy held at Marriot Hotel.
The main objective of the consultative meeting was to introduce the policy to Stakeholders, to identify together the next steps towards coordination and collaboration in the implementation of the new policy; to exchange experience and information among the Justice Sector actors. Another objective of the meeting was the Awareness of the Criminal Justice Policy among CSOs and other JRLOS partners.
The Meeting brought together some key stakeholders from Public Institutions and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) on the aforementioned policy, among others: Ministry of Justice, Rwanda National Police and Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB); on the side of CSOs, the following CSOs were present: Legal Aid Forum (LAF), RCN Justice et Democratie, GLIHD, TUBIBE AMAHORO, Rwanda Bridge to Justice, Prison Fellowship Rwanda, Lawyers of Hope, Rwanda Women Network, iPeace and CERULAR.
