It is crucial for the Civil Society to have access to clear and comprehensive information on the law

05.09.2023: The Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Dr. Emmanuel Ugirashebuja attended a breakfast meeting to disseminate the Constitution of the Republic of Rwanda highlighting the role of CSOs in its implementation, hosted by Rwanda Women Network and UN Women.

The meeting also provided a platform for learning and understanding the reasons behind the revisions, the gender consideration in the Constitution and exploring the link effective empowerment in decision making.

Minister has urged the Civil Society to disperse the Constitution as a way of ensuring that it becomes widely known and thoroughly understood at the grassroots level.

He emphasized that for the country to progress, it requires a collective effort from various stakeholders, including civil society. In this regard, he said, it is crucial for the civil society to have access to clear and comprehensive information on the law, enabling them to provide accurate information and contribute effectively to the nation's development.
